BREAKING: Turkey Suspends Any Trade Activities With Israel
Turkey has announced a suspension of all trade with Israel, effective immediately, until Israel allows unrestricted aid access to the Gaza Strip amidst its ongoing military operation against Hamas.
“Exports and imports to and from Israel have been suspended,” the trade ministry said in a statement.
“Turkey will apply these new measures… until the Israeli government authorises an uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza,” he added
This move follows a deterioration in relations between the two nations, which have been strained since Turkey restricted exports to Israel in April.
The Gaza Strip is facing a severe humanitarian crisis due to the ongoing conflict, which has resulted in significant loss of life and displacement.
The United Nations and aid agencies have warned of an impending famine, exacerbating the urgent need for unimpeded aid access.
