2025 AFCON: Super Eagles In Group C, Same As Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania [Full Draw]
As the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) approaches, Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been placed in Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania.
The three-time champions are eager to regain their status, aiming for a fourth AFCON title after narrowly losing the past final to Côte d’Ivoire.
The draw, conducted in Rabat on Monday, set up a competitive tournament, with host nation Morocco in Group A, joined by Mali, Zambia, and Comoros.
Defending champions Côte d’Ivoire will compete in Group F, facing Cameroon, Gabon, and Mozambique.

Group A: Morocco (hosts), Mali, Zambia, Comoros
Group B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe
Group C: Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania
Group D: Senegal, DR Congo, Benin, Botswana
Group E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan
Group F: Ivory Coast (holders), Cameroon, Gabon, Mozambique
Fixtures schedule:
The tournament is set to commence on December 21, 2025, with group stage matches scheduled to conclude on December 31, omitting Christmas Day.
The knockout stages are as follows:
Round of 16: January 3-6, 2026
Quarter-finals: January 9-10, 2026
Semi-finals: January 14, 2026
Third-Place Playoff: January 17, 2026
Final: January 18, 2026.
