Oshoala Strikes Again! Super Falcons Crush Black Queens

Nigeria’s Super Falcons delivered a dominant performance on Sunday, beating arch-rivals Ghana 3-1 in an intense international friendly in Casablanca.
Chiwendu Ihezuo opened the scoring in the 34th minute with a deflected effort, before Asisat Oshoala doubled the lead from the penalty spot just before halftime. Captain Rasheedat Ajibade sealed the deal five minutes into the second half with a calm finish to make it 3-0.
Ghana’s Evelyn Badu had a goal disallowed for offside, but the Black Queens eventually pulled one back in the 88th minute through Alice Kusi’s penalty.
Coach Justine Madugu made a triple substitution in the 56th minute, introducing Ifeoma Onumonu, Sikiratu Isah, and Esther Okoronkwo to maintain the Falcons’ intensity.
With this morale-boosting win, the Super Falcons shift focus to the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where they open their campaign against Tunisia next Sunday.
