Coronavirus: Doctor raises alarm over 640 death toll recorded in Kano within 7 days

A medical doctor has alleged that the death cases in Kano state has hits 640 after a strange disease allegedly hit the Northern state.
Onyxnews Nigeria understands that reports emerged few days ago from some media platform claiming that about 150 people died within three days in Kano state, causing people to panic.
This reliable online news platform quotes Daily Trust saying, the corpses buried in three cemeteries exempts others buried in many burial grounds across the eight local government areas that constitute Kano metropolis.
The local governments affected so far are Kano, Nasarawa, Gwale, Dala, Ungogo, Fagge, Tarauni, Kumbotso and Municipal.
Kano State has 59 confirmed cases of coronavirus, then on Tuesday, there was an alarming increase from when the index case was first reported 11 days ago.
However, the deaths in the state have not yet been linked to the deadly coronavirus disease.
A resident in Kano, Khalid Munir, said he was deeply concerned about the situation because cases of coronavirus in the city were increasing.
“Who knows what is killing people? The development is causing people to panic and no one knows what is going on.
“The index Coronavirus case for example went to a lot of places even Friday prayers before he was confirmed positive, so a lot of people might be walking around with Coronavirus and dying from it and not even know,” he said.
