See Wike’s reaction to Obaseki’s disqualification from Edo Primaries
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has reacted to the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole action, for disqualifying Obaseki from primaries.
According to Wike, it is an irony for a person who doesn’t have a certificate to disqualify the Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki from seeking second term under the party’s platform over his certificate.
Governor Wike who hosted Obaseki in Port Harcourt over the weekend made this comment via micro blogging site, Twitter. @GovWike
He tweeted that it was an irony that Obaseki was disqualified by someone who doesn’t have a certificate.
“Obaseki was disqualified by someone who doesn’t have a certificate, what an irony!”, Wike wrote on Twitter.
Professor Jonathan Ayuba who led APC screening committee had screened out Obaseki from the June 22 governorship primary election of the party over inconsistencies on his certificate from the Institute of Continuous Education and wrongful spelling of his name on his NYSC certificate.
The development comes at wake of misunderstanding between Obaseki and Oshiomhole ahead of the forthcoming state gubernatorial election.
