WAEC Cancels Exam For Private Candidates.
OnyxNews Nigeria quotes The Nation’s reports that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Nigeria has cancelled the First Series Literature-in-English (2&1,3) examination of the 2021 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) taken by private candidates.
This was disclosed in a statement by the examination council.
No reason was given for the cancellation of the examination which was taken on Friday, 26th February.
It has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 11,2021.
The WAEC First Series exams started on February 15 and ended March 2.
Meanwhile, the examination council has released the payment procedure for WASSCE 2021 for school candidates.
It directed schools to visit its offices in their respective states to complete a remittance form and get approval from the Ministry of Education for the number of candidates to be registered for this year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
It also directed them to obtain the endorsement of WAEC Branch Controllers in their states.
The council also told schools to make payment of N13, 950 to any of Access Bank, Zenith Bank, First Bank, Union Bank, Sterling Bank, among others.
While urging them to quote their school’s centre number as a unique ID at the bank, the exam body told them to take their print out to WAEC office for collection of registration PIN after which they could proceed with online registration.
