The official rate today, Sunday, 9th January, for $1 dollar to naira = ₦/$1.
According to FMDQ Security Exchange where forex is officially traded, the official exchange rate between the naira and the US dollar opened at ₦/$1 on Sunday, 9th January 2022, after it closed at ₦411.99 to a $1 on Friday January 7th 2022, according to FX.
Dollar to Naira in Black Market today?
The exchange rate for a dollar to naira at Lagos Parallel Market (Black Market) for today, Sunday, January 9th sells at ₦650/1$, and buy at ₦590 according to enquiring made by Onyxnewsng from the Bureau De Change (BDC) this morning.
Though, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognise the parallel market (black market), as it has directed individuals who want to engage in Forex to approach their respective banks.
Meanwhile, the exchange rate between the naira and the US dollar at the Foreign Exchange Market opened at ₦411.99/$1 on Friday January 7th 2022.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The exchange rate changes hourly.… it depends on the volume of dollars available and the demands. What it means is that…you can buy or sell 1 dollar at ₦565 to ₦650 and the price can change (high or low) within hours.
