AFCON 2023: I Want To Give Nigeria Something To Remember– Victor Osimhen
Victor Osimhen, the striker for the Super Eagles, expressed his desire to create a lasting memory for Nigeria during the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
Osimhen has been showcasing his talent throughout the AFCON, playing a crucial role in helping Jose Peseiro’s team advance to the quarter-finals.
During the round of 16 match against Cameroon, the Napoli forward posed a constant threat to their defense, setting up Ademola Lookman for Nigeria’s opening goal.
According to the Guardian UK reporter Osasu Obayiuwana, “I want to win something with this great squad,” Osimhen said.
“I want to give Nigeria something that they will remember. I’m giving everything to come home with the [AFCON] trophy.”
Despite having scored just one goal in the AFCON so far against Equatorial Guinea, Osimhen aims to lead Nigeria to victory in the quarter-finals against Angola.
