BREAKING: FG Announces 24-hour Total Closure Of Third Mainland Bridge
The Federal Ministry of Works announced on Monday that both carriageways of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State will be shut down to traffic from noon on Wednesday until noon on Thursday.
Mrs. Olukorede Kesha, the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, disclosed this information through a statement provided to the press.
Kesha clarified that the full closure is part of the ongoing rehabilitation efforts being conducted on the bridge.
“Consequently, the bridge would not be opened to traffic during this critical 24-hour period.
“Thus, all road users are advised to use alternative routes during this period. Please note that all inconveniences are highly regretted,” the statement read.
Concurrently, the Lagos State Government has issued a notice concerning the forthcoming complete closure of the bridge.
Motorists are urged to collaborate with the traffic management personnel who will be deployed to ensure smooth traffic flow during this period.
