Osun House Rep Wole Oke Leaves PDP Amid Party Turmoil

Oluwole Oke, a six-term House of Representatives member from Osun State, has formally quit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). His resignation letter, dated April 16, 2025, was submitted to the PDP Chairman of Ward 7, Obokun Local Government Area.
Oke revealed that his decision came after thorough discussions with political allies, friends, and family members. He confirmed the resignation during a phone interview on Wednesday, stating, “I have resigned from the PDP.” While he did not disclose his future political plans, he encouraged his supporters to exit the party and await his next move.
The defection is part of a broader exodus from the PDP in Osun, where several leaders have defected to other parties due to dissatisfaction with the party’s leadership and internal conflicts.
