Champions League Semi-Final: Inter Milan Edge Barcelona 4-3 in Extra Time to Reach Final
Inter Milan booked their place in the UEFA Champions League final after a breathtaking 4-3 extra-time victory against Barcelona at the iconic San Siro stadium on Tuesday night. David Frattesi’s goal in the 99th minute proved to be the match-winner, sealing a 7-6 aggregate triumph for the Italians.
Barcelona had clawed their way back into the tie after trailing 2-0 at halftime, with Eric Garcia and Dani Olmo scoring in the second half to level the aggregate score. Raphinha then appeared to have delivered the knockout blow with a late goal.
Yet Inter’s never-say-die spirit shone through as Francesco Acerbi equalized in stoppage time, sending the match into extra time. Frattesi’s winner was a fitting climax to a gripping contest that showcased the tactical battle and attacking prowess of both sides.
With this victory, Inter advance to face either PSG or Arsenal in the final on May 31, promising another high-profile showdown in European football’s biggest stage.
