Presidency has made the plan to move Abba Kyari to Lagos for treatment after testing positive for coronavirus
Following the confirmation of Abba Kyari’s health status on the pandemic disease scaring the whole world, a familiar top government source on Tuesday 24 March said that the Nigerian president’s Chief of Staff may be moved to Lagos for treatment any time.
There are recent plans by Nigeria’s Presidency to move Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, to Lagos for urgent medical attention after he was confirmed to have been contracted the deadly coronavirus.
As the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread, former Vice President Abubakar Atiku and former Senator for Kogi West Senatorial district, Dino Melaye has sent short words of prayers to Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, after he reportedly tested positive for the virus.
Onyxnewsng reported earlier that Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday 23, March 2020.
This online news platform understands that Kyari travelled to Germany on Saturday, 7 March for a meeting with officials of Siemens in Munich on the Nigerian electricity expansion programme.
He returned exactly a week later on Saturday, 14 March, but did not show any symptoms.
He reportedly had a meeting on preventing the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria all through Sunday, where he reportedly started to cough.
He then voluntarily submitted himself for testing and was informed of his positive status for the deadly virus yesterday.
Kyari has however gone into serious isolation following the test result.
This online news platform learnt that, he is hale and hearty and showing no symptoms apart from the occasional cough.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari, tested negative for coronavirus after going through the test.
The test for the president was necessitated after his Chief of Staff tested positive for the deadly virus.
In another development, fear has increased as a presidential source confirmed that three of Abba Kyari’s staffs have tested positive to coronavirus (COVID-19).
