Breaking: Gunmen assassinate Assistant Director of Admin Aso Villa
Gunmen have assassinated an Assistant Director of Administration in the State House in Aso Villa, Abuja Laetitia Naankang Dagan, Onyxnewsng reports.
This was made known in Abuja on Tuesday February 18 by the Permanent Secretary, State House, Jalal Arabi, who described the killing of Dagan as “a painful loss”.
The Permanent Secretary said the 47-year-old Dagan who hailed from Plateau State, northern part of Nigeria worked in her office on Monday, February 17 till 8 pm, but by 11 pm, she was gruesomely murdered in her apartment by unknown persons.
The Permanent Secretary said the killing of Dagan is “a painful loss not only to her immediate family but also the entire State House.”
“She was a dedicated, hard-working officer, and we all feel pained by her dastardly and untimely death,” Arabi told her family members during a condolence visit.
The Permanent Secretary added that: “We all share in your grief and pains, but be consoled by the fact that she lived a good life and contributed her best to the services of her nation.”
Expressing confidence, the Permanent Secretary vowed that “the Police will fish out the killers of Laetitia and the law will take its course.”
