NAF postpones entrance exams over fear of coronavirus
Onyxnews Nigeria reports that the Nigerian Air Force, has postponed its entrance examination into the Air Force Comprehensive Secondary School and Air Force Secondary School.
This was revealed in a statement released on Sunday by the NAF Director Public Relations and Information, Ibikunle Daramola.
The statement read thus, “this is to inform parents/guardians of candidates that applied for admission into Air Force Comprehensive Secondary Schools and Air Force Secondary Schools that the entrance examination, which was earlier scheduled for 2 May 2020, has been postponed till further notice in compliance with precautions aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19. “A new date will be announced in due course.”
On a similar development, on March 24, Onyxnews Nigeria reported that the Nigerian Navy had suspended its 2020 recruitment until further notice.
The Nigerian Navy suspended this year’s recruitment earlier on Tuesday 24 March following the ravaging coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis in the country.
The Director of Information, Commodore Suleiman Dahun made this announcement in a statement to newsmen.
The statement read thus: “The Nigerian Navy wishes to inform the general public and prospective applicants that its 2020 recruitment exercise has been put on hold till further notice in response to national concerns.”
”Consequently, the online registration for the 2020 recruitment has been suspended and the recruitment portal deactivated with immediate effect,” the statement said.
This reliable online news platform had also reported that the online registration for the Navy 2020 recruitment began on March 11 and was scheduled to close on April 21.
