Governor Obaseki reveals second term plan after winning election

Governor of Edo state re-elected, Godwin Obaseki reveals second term plan.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that Governor Obaseki has noted that him and his deputy, Philip Shaibu, will perform better in their second term in the state.
He stated this while speaking at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin during the thanksgiving service organised by the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for him and Shaibu.
Governor Obaseki also said his administration will work for peace to pave the way for more development of the state.
Governor Obaseki said: “The victory is to show us that we must continue to do what we have been doing through sacrifice and service. God willing, we will do more than we did in our first term.
“We will continue to do things that will be pleasing in the sight of God and the people of our great state. I also assure everyone that we will work to create peace and harmony, without which we cannot continue to develop our state.”
On the other hand, candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Tracy Ebun and the candidate of All Peoples Party (APP), Osalumese Areloegbe, have revealed their intentions to challenge the outcome of the just-concluded Edo State governorship election.
Agol’s words, “We have to consult with the national body before we take any decision concerning the Edo election.
“We are also looking at all that took place during the election after which we will make our findings public and decide the next step to take.”
When asked if she considered the election free and fair, she replied, “It will be revealed as soon as we meet with the national body.”
In Areloegbe’s part, “I would have to hold a meeting with the party before knowing whether we will go to the tribunal or not.
“People were induced with money. Some of my votes were also nullified while some were not counted,” the APP candidate said.
