Tragedy Hits Nollywood Industry As Another Popular Actress Dies.
OnyxNews Nigeria reports that a veteran Yoruba actress, Asabi Ayantunde also known as Iya Ife has died few days after her birthday, colleagues confirmed.

This online news platform understands that Iya Ife died in her home town, Ile-Ife, Osun State on Sunday after an undisclosed illness.
“It is indeed a sad and trying period for the family members of a Nollywood star, Asabi Ayantunde aka Iya Ife, who left the world just a few hours to her birthday,” Nollywood actress Buky Smart disclosed the news of the actress’ death in a post on her Instagram page.
Also, actor Olamilekan Ayinla took to his page on Instagram to mourn the deceased actress. Unfortunately, Ayinla had shared a post some hours ago in which he prayed for the late Ayantunde and wished her a happy birthday celebration.
“I was wishing you long life and prosperity this morning around (3 am) on my post before this, not knowing that you are no more IYA IFE this woman will call me almost everyday to pray for me it’s now over IYA BI IYAMI Rest In Peace ASHABI,” he said.

Saidi Balogun said: “May her soul rest in perfect Peace.”
On kemi Afolabi Adesipe’s part: “Oh no. This woman that shows me so much lov always haaa she go dey scream “OMO’TONSO” whenever she sight me at every location omg! Haa Iya Ife RIP peaceful Soul, Rest on my woman, may Allah forgive ur shortcomings & be pleased wit ur soul,” she said.
Jigan Babaoja said: “Sorry bro may her gentle rest in perfect peace.”

Meanwhile, Iya Ife had featured in many Nigerian movies, which include: Seven Years (2019) Landlord. Aja Loleru (2018) Iya Sidi, Iboji Obinrin (2018), Ijakumo (2018), to mention a few.
