BREAKING: Court To Swear In Atiku As New President (See Date)
Onyxnewsng reports that the appeal seeking to swear in Atiku as president has been adjourned.
The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Wednesday adjourned the appeal seeking to nullify President Muhammadu Buhari’s election in 2019 and swear in Abubakar Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as Nigeria’s President till May 18.
According to reports, the appeal was adjourned by a three-member panel led by Justice Haruna Tsamani to allow the ruling administration to resolve a representation issue.
It will be recalled that the Incorporated Trustees of the Civil Society Observatory for Constitutional and Legal Compliance (CSOCLC), through its counsel, Nnamdi Ahaiwe, filed an appeal in 2019 to remove President Muhammadu Buhari from office, based on their claim that President Buhari’s affidavit in the 2019 general elections was falsified.
