BREAKING: Measles Outbreak Declared In UK, Two Cases Recorded
An outbreak of measles has been declared in a UK city.
Two cases have been confirmed in Leicester, according to the city council.
Rob Howard, the city’s director of public health, said: “We have recently had two confirmed cases of measles in the city; one case is a university student, and the other is an high school student.”
Adding that “Neither have had the Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccine known as MMR,” which is the vaccine to prevent measles.
Rob urges the public to wash hands, use sanitizers, and watch out for symptoms such as running nose, cough, and red rash.
Meanwhile, experts have issued warning to parents to ensure their child is vaccinated.
