EPL: Everton Handed 10 Points Deduction After Breaching Claim

Following an investigation into profit and sustainability rules, the Premier League has deducted 10 points from Everton’s current season total.
The Goodison Park club said they are “shocked and disappointed” by the punishment and will seek for appeal.
According to the statement on the club’s Instagram handle,“Both the harshness and severity of the sanction imposed by the Commission are neither a fair nor a reasonable reflection of the evidence submitted”.
It is noted that the 10-point deduction is the largest ever handed out by the Premier League.
The deduction drops Everton into the relegation zone.
