Tragedy: Three Oyo Monarchs Die In A Fatal Auto Crash
Three traditional rulers from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State tragically lost their lives in a road accident that occurred on Friday.
The incident took place at Aje Iye in the local government area and involved a Benz E230 with the registration number OLODOGBO and a commercial Scania Truck with registration number 301 XF.
Two of the monarchs died instantly, while the third passed away a few hours later at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, where he was quickly rushed for medical attention.
One of the eyewitnesses, Olawoyin Adekunle, said, “Six passengers were involved in the crash, but the three survivors are undergoing treatment at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital. The affected passengers were going for a social function at the nearby community when the accident occurred.
Additionally, on the same day, another accident occurred resulting in injuries to nine individuals.
Eyewitnesses reported that a total of six passengers were involved in this separate incident. The three survivors are currently receiving treatment at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital. The passengers were en route to a social event in the nearby community when the unfortunate accident occurred.
These incidents have brought immense grief to the Oriire Local Government Area and the larger community.
