Tinubu To Commission Abia Roads, Geometric Power Plant
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to officially open and commemorate the newly rehabilitated set of three roads in Abia State on Monday, February 26.
The Governor of Abia State, Alex Chioma Otti, oversaw the reconstruction of these roads.
The announcement was made through a press release by the State Commissioner of Information and Culture, Prince Okey Kanu, which was shared with the press on Saturday morning.
This event marks the first time that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be commissioning a road project initiated and completed by the current group of governors across Nigeria.
The statement by the Abia government partly stated: “The roads to be commissioned are; Omoba road, Jubilee road and Queens street in Abia state.
“It equally marks the 9th road being commissioned in Aba since Dr Alex Otti, OFR, took over the reins of power in the state eight months ago.
“This exercise is in addition to the commissioning of the Geometric Power Plant in Aba on Monday, February 26th by Mr President; a power plant that will provide uninterrupted power supply to Aba and its environs.”
