LALIGA: Xavi Makes U-turn, Decides To Stay In Barcelona Next Season
Xavi Hernandez has had a change of heart and decided to stay on as Barcelona manager, contrary to his previous announcement that he would leave the club at the end of the season.
Following a meeting with club president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco on Wednesday night, Xavi accepted the conditions to continue leading the LaLiga side.
This development was revealed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano wrote: “BREAKING: Xavi has decided to change his mind and STAY as Barcelona manager!
“After tonight’s meeting and Laporta insisting for him to stay, Xavi accepts Barça conditions and will continue as head coach.
“Formal steps to follow.”
