Okpebholo Vows Infrastructure Revolution in Esan Land After Tribunal Triumph

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has pledged a sweeping infrastructure overhaul in Esan land, following his recent tribunal victory. Addressing supporters at a reception in Ewatto, Esan South East Local Government Area, Okpebholo outlined plans to prioritize road construction, clean water access, and improved transportation networks across the Edo Central Senatorial District.
“The people of Edo State will not regret voting for me,” Okpebholo declared, promising a new era of development that would touch every corner of the state, with a special focus on Esan land.
The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, emphasized in a statement that Okpebholo’s agenda aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s federal reforms. Okpebholo also hinted at upcoming political shifts, predicting a wave of defections to the APC as the South-South region gears up for 2027.
The event, hosted by philanthropist Dr. Lemon Ikpea, also highlighted local development efforts, including a visit to Ikpea’s medical center project in Idumuiyase, Ewatto. Okpebholo shared a personal story of loss—his sister’s death from a waterborne illness—as a driving force behind his political journey.
As the governor’s administration prepares to roll out its ambitious infrastructure initiatives, residents are eager to see if these promises will translate into tangible improvements.
