Tinubu Faces PDP’s Demand for Policy Overhaul on Eid-el-Kabir

President Bola Tinubu has been urged by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to review and reform all government policies impacting Nigerians, with a strong focus on reducing fuel and electricity costs. This call was made in a statement by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, as the nation celebrates Eid-el-Kabir.
The PDP implored Tinubu to use the remaining two years of his administration to demonstrate selfless leadership, guided by the lessons of Eid-el-Kabir, which emphasize submission to God’s will and compassion for others. The party stressed that the government must address the pressing issues of high living costs and insecurity that are causing widespread hardship.
Highlighting the gravity of the situation, the PDP described Nigeria as a “large killing field” plagued by insecurity and economic distress, attributing these challenges to alleged mismanagement and corruption by the APC-led government. The party called for a comprehensive review of all anti-people policies and an immediate end to wasteful spending and dishonest practices.
The PDP further demanded the recovery of stolen public funds, insisting that such resources be allocated to critical infrastructure, the productive sector, and security agencies. The party also encouraged Nigerians to remain patriotic and hopeful, emphasizing the importance of unity and prayer during these trying times.
In closing, the PDP extended warm Eid-el-Kabir greetings to all Nigerians, reaffirming its commitment to advocating for the welfare and prosperity of the nation.
