Why I Plotted President Trump’s Assassination – 50-yr-old Woman Confessed
A 50-year-old Indiana woman, Nathalie Rose Jones, has been arrested in Washington, D.C., on charges of plotting to assassinate President Donald Trump after allegedly issuing multiple threats on social media.
U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro announced the indictment on Saturday, August 16, stating that Jones is accused of threatening to kill, kidnap, or harm the President, as well as transmitting interstate threats online.
“Threatening the life of the President is one of the most serious crimes and one that will be met with swift and unwavering prosecution. Make no mistake—justice will be served,” Pirro said.
Court filings reveal that the Secret Service tracked Instagram and Facebook posts made by Jones between August 2 and 15.
Using the handle “Nath.Jones,” she reportedly described Trump as a “terrorist” and “dictator,” blaming him for “extreme and unnecessary loss of life” during the COVID-19 pandemic and calling for his removal from office.
In one message addressed to U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Jones demanded a “removal ceremony” for Trump at the White House on August 16.
Secret Service agents interviewed Jones on August 15, during which she allegedly admitted she would kill Trump if given the chance, saying she possessed a “bladed object” to “carry out her mission.”
Report claimed that her motive was to “avenge lives lost in the pandemic,” which she attributed to Trump’s administration and its vaccine policies.
The next day, Jones attended a protest near the White House.
She was later questioned again, where she acknowledged making the threats but insisted she had no immediate plans to harm the President.
She also confirmed ownership of the social media accounts linked to the posts.
Following this admission, Jones was placed under arrest.
The investigation is being handled by the Secret Service, while Assistant U.S. Attorney Josh Satter is leading the prosecution.
