Man United Draw Up 3-Man Shortlist As Ruben Amorim Faces Sack
Manchester United have reportedly identified a three-man shortlist as pressure mounts on manager Ruben Amorim.
Amorim’s future at Old Trafford is in doubt after losing four of the team’s first seven games across all competitions.
According to talkSPORT, former England manager Gareth Southgate is among the candidates being considered.
United had looked at Southgate prior to Amorim’s appointment in November 2024, but he was reluctant to take up club management at the time.
However, minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe is said to have recently reopened talks with Southgate as United’s on-field struggles continue.
The report adds that Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola complete the shortlist.
