BREAKING: Nigerian Islamic Singer, Rukayat Gawat Is Dead
A popular Nigerian Islamic singer, Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso, is dead.
The passing of the Nigerian Islamic singer was confirmed by Ilorin-based cleric Alfa Aribidesi At-Tawdeeh through his official Facebook page on Tuesday.
Jubril Aawat, a media aide to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state, also shared the news via a brief tweet quoting a verse indicating a return to Allah.
“Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return. Q 2 V 156,” He quoted.
Rukayat was renowned for her melodious voice that resonated with many in the Muslim community.
