False Reports of VP Shettima’s Denied Entry to Aso Villa Debunked by Presidency

The Presidency has categorically denied reports alleging that Vice President Kashim Shettima was barred from entering the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of the Vice President), described the claims as “false and mischievous” in a statement released on Saturday.
The statement condemned the reports, which surfaced on “obscure blogs,” as attempts to mislead the public into believing there is discord between President Bola Tinubu and his deputy. “This is a feeble attempt to traduce the person and office of His Excellency, Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON,” Nkwocha said.
He dismissed the allegation that military personnel blocked the Villa entrance as “the wildest expression of wishful thinking,” accusing the rumor-mongers of sowing discord within the government.
The statement also recalled an earlier debunked rumor about campaign posters featuring Tinubu’s image. Nkwocha assured that Shettima remains focused on his duties and urged Nigerians to ignore the false claims, encouraging journalists to verify facts from credible sources.
