Police Attack Rivers State Governor Over Impeachment [Video]
Some men of the Nigerian police have attacked the embattled governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, on Monday as the governor stormed the state’s House of Assembly Complex following an alleged move to impeach the governor and remove the Leader of the Assembly, Edison Ehie.
In a video circulating online, Onyxnews Nigeria observed the Police firing teargas at the Governor’s direction while he and his supporters stormed the assembly complex to amid the impeachment saga.
Lawmakers have, early this morning, converged for a plenary where a notice of impeachment of the governor was signed.
